GHI Director Simone Lässig Selected to Join the Expert Commission for the “Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur”

GHI Director Simone Lässig has been selected to join the expert commission for the Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur (NFDI) [National Research Data Infrastructure].

GHI Director Simone Lässig has been selected to join the expert commission for the Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur (NFDI) [National Research Data Infrastructure]. The NFDI is an initiative spearheaded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Joint Science Conference (GWK) to set standards in data management and act as a digital, regionally distributed and networked knowledge repository to sustainably secure and utilize research data. The experts were selected by DFG’s steering committee during their meeting on December 6, 2018. The commission’s main function is to evaluate applications on the basis of the merit of their scholarship, information technology, and structure, and to formulate funding recommendations to the GWK. The commission consists of experts who are recognized in various fields of scholarship and also have many years of international experience in research management, research infrastructure facilities, or private sector.
