Digitization and Digital Humanities: What is the Role of Libraries?

This talk will introduce the Berlin State Library, the largest research library in Germany, with its various activities in the areas of Digitization, Research and Development and the Digital Humanities. After a brief discussion about the Digital Transformation and the challenges it entails for libraries, the talk will conclude with some suggestions for increased collaboration between libraries and the scholarly community.
