Biographical Summary

Susanne Schmidt is a visiting fellow in the Binational Research Tandem Program in the History of Knowledge and Knowledge Cultures, on leave from Freie Universität Berlin, where she is a Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in the Global History Research Group at the Friedrich Meinecke Institute of History. She received her PhD in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge, following undergraduate and graduate studies at the Humboldt University Berlin, in Cambridge, and Paris. At the GHI, Susanne studies the history of human development, gender, and inequality in twentieth-century social thought and practice.
