Knowledge and Young Migrants, Special Issue

A new special issue on "Knowledge and Young Migrants" has been published in KNOW: A Journal on the Formation of Knowledge (Vol 3.2, Oct. 2019). Edited by GHI Director Simone Lässig and associated scholar Swen Steinberg, the special issue presents studies that show how looking at young migrants can reveal unrecognized but socially relevant processes of knowledge formation and underappreciated connections among different producers and translators of knowledge from the late nineteenth to twentieth century.

Featuring contributions from Simone Lässig, Swen Steinberg, Paula S. Fass, Simone Laqua-O’Donnell, Wendy L. Rouse, Emily Marker, Kijan Espanahangizi, and Stephanie Zloch, the issue was based in part on a panel series organized by the GHI at the 2017 German Studies Association Conference.
