Fritz Stern Dissertation Prize, 1997

The 1997 Fritz Stern Dissertation Prizes were awarded to Paul Lerner (University of Southern California) and Sandra Chaney (Erskine College). The award ceremony took place at the 6th Annual Symposium of the Friends of the German Historical Institute on November 14, 1997. The Stern Prize Selection Committee was composed of Vernon Lidtke (The Johns Hopkins University), Kathleen Conzen (University of Chicago), and Jonathan Petropoulos (Loyola College in Maryland).
