Biographical Summary

Simon Unger is a cultural historian of 20th century Europe and completed his PhD at Oxford University in summer 2018. Before coming to Washington, he was a lecturer at Magdalen College/Oxford. His research is concerned with problems of accommodation and criticism in fascist regimes, but also with theology, language and ‘Begriffsgeschichte’ (conceptual history).
