Biographical Summary

Nick Underwood received his PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2016. He serves as the managing editors for the journals East European Jewish Affairs and American Jewish History as well as project manager for the Digital Yiddish Theatre Project. Between 2015–2016, he served as lecturer at Sonoma State University and Napa Valley College, and in summer 2017, he was a visiting fellow at the Leibniz Institute for Jewish History and Culture – Simon Dubnow in Leipzig, Germany. His first book project is titled Yiddish Paris: Nation and Community in Interwar France.
