Biographical Summary
David Kuchenbuch is Research Fellow in the History of Consumption at the GHI. His research focuses on modern U.S., German, and Scandinavian history, the history of science, and transnational history. He studied modern history and Scandinavian Studies in Berlin and Stockholm and received his Ph.D. in modern history from the University of Oldenburg in 2010. He is the author of Geordnete Gemeinschaft: Architekten als Sozialingenieure - Deutschland und Schweden im 20. Jahrhundert (Bielefeld: Transcript Verlag) and several articles on architecture, urban planning, and social engineering in the twentieth century.
