![]() Monica Black is assistant professor of history at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She received her PhD from the University of Virginia in 2006. Her dissertation, the basis for Death in Berlin, was awarded the Fritz Stern Dissertation Prize by the Friends of the German Historical Institute. Black also received the 2010 Fraenkel Prize in Contemporary History (Category B) from the Wiener Library Institute of Contemporary History for Death in Berlin. The Fraenkel Prize recognizes "outstanding work" in twentieth-century history. Death in Berlin is available from Cambridge University Press. |
