"The Strained Alliance" Focus of Roundtable |

The Strained Alliance: U.S.-European Relations from Nixon to Carter, a recent addition to the Publications of the German Historical Institute series, is the subject of a roundtable review posted on May 4 on the H-Diplo web site and electronic discussion network. The roundtable includes reviews by Wilfried Loth (University of Duisburg-Essen), Kiran Klaus Patel (European University Institute, Florence), Gerhard L. Weinberg (University of North Carolina at chapel Hill, emeritus), and Melissa P. Yeager (Longwood University) and responses from the book's editors, Matthias Schulz (University of Geneva) and Thomas A. Schwartz (Vanderbilt University).
