The German Historical Institute invites you to a panel discussion:

The 'Life of Others'? The GDR Revisited

The critically acclaimed film The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen) has prompted renewed interest in the German Democratic Republic’s secret police, the Stasi. This panel discussion will consider the portrayal of the Stasi in The Lives of Others and the resonance the film has had in Germany and abroad.
