Virtual April 2020 DCHDC Meetup

Apr 21, 2020

Hello everyone! The DCHDC Board invites you to join us for a virtual meetup on Zoom next Tuesday, April 21 from 6-7:30pm. This meetup will follow a more informal discussion-based structure covering a variety of topics on how our institutions and positions are being affected and changed right now.

What does personal archiving mean and can/should it make sense to teach it on the fly?

How are institutions handling pandemic closures and funding impacts?

What will the digital collections created to document the Coronavirus Pandemic look like?

We hope to hear how you and your organizations are faring, so please bring along a beverage of your choice and let us know what's going on with you! We also understand it can be challenging right now to find free time, especially for those of us with families, so please drop in whenever you can make it and stay as long as you like. Looking forward to seeing you!

NOTE: We are limited to 100 participants, so please RSVP to the meetup in order to access the meeting link and password.

Digital Cultural Heritage DC is a monthly meetup group for people interested in collecting, preserving and making available digital cultural heritage information. Our meetings begin with a few short lightning talks followed by social information exchange. This is a great networking opportunity for students, as well as anyone interested in learning about digital collections in archives, museums, libraries or anywhere else. We're interested in digital content of all kinds, including film/video, still images, text, datasets, video games and pretty much anything of value in digital form. We are an open and friendly group, and welcome all comers.
